Charlotte Baker advised a market leading sports equipment manufacturer and sponsor who is a long standing client of the Firm on the terms of its sponsorship agreement with a high profile sportsman.  The agreement included terms relating to performance linked sponsorship payments, the use of the client’s brand and logo and the supply of sporting equipment.

Concession Licence and Catering Contract

David Jones recently acted on behalf of a large fast food business in securing rights to maintain food and beverage kiosks at the home of English Football.
Negotiations centred on the exclusivity of the Licence, the terms for termination of the contract and the provision of utilities to the kiosks. Delicate fine tuning of the financial terms of the contract were also key as our client was keen to simplify the structure of commission in respect of key performance indicators whilst maintaining good relations with a major global brand and sporting icon.

Premiership Rugby Club

Catering Contract

Helen Robinson has recently acted on behalf of a premiership rugby club in negotiating and drafting a catering contract for their training ground. This involved detailed menu requirements for the players as well as understanding and supplying catering for staff and particular events. Staff issues were a concern under TUPE (Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations). With training regimes and diet and fitness requirements constantly changing the contract needed to be flexible as to menu and timing of services.

Helen Robinson advised her client, an international catering company, after it won the tender to supply catering services to the Millennium Stadium. This involved careful negotiations with the stadium as to location of the different types of catering for public as well as staff and player use. The financial structure of the agreement was varied and included cost plus contracts, concessions and fixed price aspects.
