Martin is a partner is the Property Group. He graduated in law from Wadham College Oxford in 1975 and, after teaching in Italy, qualified as a Solicitor in 1979.
Martin’s main practice area is commercial property. He also has expertise in the residential property sector and private and charitable trusts. Martin represents investors, managers, traders, developers and occupiers and a number of overseas investors and professional clients. He also acts for banks and other lenders and insolvency practitioners acquiring and realising security over real estate and other assets.
Martin’s experience covers the retail and leisure sectors, hotels and catering, franchising and pharmaceutical buildings. He has extensive experience dealing with the property aspects of corporate acquisitions and fund raising. His client base includes both institutions with a more traditional attitude to business and entrepreneurs whose approach is uninhibited by convention. Martin is an adviser and problem solver who believes that making and maintaining good working relationships is the key to a successful practice.
Martin lives in Clapham with his wife and five daughters. He is an enthusiastic pianist and cook. He also enjoys playing tennis and is an occasional supporter of Arsenal.
