Helen Robinson

Partner, Commercial

Commercial Solicitor Helen graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 1992 with a degree in law and qualified as a solicitor in 1995 and joined our Company Commercial Department in 2006.

Helen has wide experience from working in private practice and industry where she worked as an in-house lawyer for Compass Granada Plc and as head of legal for SCH Plc, Europe's largest privately owned IT company. She is able to bring a practical and commercial approach to all of her business client's needs.

Helen deals with all corporate and commercial aspects of a business' development but specialises in particular in mergers and acquisitions, corporate structures, and general commercial matters including franchising, distribution and contracts. Helen also deals with international trading contracts under ICC regulations and has been involved with oil and other commodity trading worldwide. She also has experience of financial instruments trading and regularly deals with European and US clients.

Helen has experience in advising not for profit organisations, including NDCs, on governance, grants, relationships with government bodies, charitable status, duties of directors and succession planning.

When not in the office Helen enjoys rugby (only watching it!) socialising and skiing. She is a trad jazz and U2 fan but having never managed to master the saxophone did not pursue a music career and enjoys whiling the hours away in the garden instead.
