Chan was admitted as a solicitor in 1989 after completing her training with the city firm Biddle & Co. She remained in the city for the next 7 years specializing in property litigation. Her last 3 years in the City were spent at Alsop Wilkinson, where she headed the Property Litigation Department.
Chan left the City in 1996 to help start a new practice in South Kensington with other like-minded City lawyers. She headed the Litigation Department at that firm and continued to work as a property litigator.
Chan joined Cumberland Ellis in January 2002 and became a partner in May 2004 and now heads the Property Litigation Department in the Property Group.
Chan continues to act for a varied client base which includes landlords, tenants, property managers, banks and other lenders, insolvency specialists, developers, institutions, charities and high net-worth individuals advising on all aspects of disputes arising from property ownership ranging form a simple debt action through to substantial dilapidations claims and more.
