Caroline qualified as a solicitor in 2006. She joined Cumberland Ellis from Finers Stephens Innocent LLP. Caroline previously worked for Penningtons LLP.
Caroline deals with a broad range of Private Client work including trusts, probates, will drafting and matters involving the office of the Public Guardian.
Recent cases that Caroline has been involved in include:
- preparation of Wills for both couples and individuals including giving advice on inheritance tax, succession planning, domicile and overseas assets;
- administration of both charitable and non charitable trusts including advising trustees about the exercise of their trustees powers, preparing trustee resolutions and managing distributions;
- administering estates to include liaising with foreign solicitors over the collection of overseas assets. Liaising with HM Revenue and Customs over excluded property settlements and advising executors generally; and
- advising Attorneys under a registered Enduring Power of Attorney about preparing a statutory codicil and liaising with the Office of the Public Guardian and Court of Protection over the preparation of the same.
Caroline is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Caroline’s hobbies include theatre and travelling.
