Timothy Bartlett
Consultant, Property
Property lawyer Tim Bartlett obtained a law degree from Queen Mary College, University of London in 1972, and was articled at Ellis Peirs & Young Jackson. He became a Partner there in 1979. In May 2004 he retired from the partnership of Cumberland Ellis , and is now a consultant, working full time.
He is a member of our Property Law Department, and for many years he has a particular role in maintaining the Department's precedent library and keeping the other members up to date on changes in the law. Amongst other tasks, he assists in the management of a large estate in the North West of England where, as in much of his work, the emphasis is on landlord and tenant transactions.
Tim was born in Torquay and considers his roots to be in Devon. Such spare time as he has is largely devoted to music. He and his wife are choral singers; their two daughters both play the violin and piano.
