Richard Lester

Property solicitor Richard trained with Darley Cumberland and was admitted as a solicitor in 1975. He works in our Commercial Property Law Department, within the Property Group. He has specialised in property matters, with particular emphasis on investment and development work. In the firm, his organisational and project management skills have led to him acting variously as Finance Partner, Managing Partner and a spell as Partner in charge of IT development. He became a Consultant in 2006.

Richard won a silver medal, rowing in the Montreal Olympics. He also heads our Sports Law Team. He is legal advisor to the Amateur Rowing Association, a Steward of Henley Royal Regatta, and a member of the British Association for Sport and the Law.

When away from the office, Richard tries to keep up with his two young daughters and plays golf erratically.
