Cumberland Ellis hosts meeting of the ACEVO Mental Health Working Group on Personalisation

On 25 May Cumberland Ellis hosted a meeting of the Mental Health Working Group on Personalisation run by the Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations (ACEVO) of which we are a member.

Personalisation is seen by leading figures both in government and in the voluntary sector as the way forward in the delivery of public services. Its central tenet is that those who use public services should have the opportunity to make key decisions about what services they need, how they should be delivered and the personal allocation of public funds.

The meeting was chaired by Paul Jenkins, CEO of Rethink, the leading national mental health charity. The discussion concentrated on how personalisation currently operates in the mental health sector and the challenges of extending its reach. The conclusions of the Working Group will inform the report on Personalisation being prepared by the ACEVO Commission for submission to the government. Cumberland Ellis are very pleased to have contributed in a small way to this very important campaign.
